College urges local adults to enrol for new part-time courses
Local adults who want to study part-time can choose from a range of courses launching this week at Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC).
Prospective students are being advised to log onto the college's website www.nulc.ac.uk to view the courses on offer and, in many cases, enrol online.
The College is offering a wide variety of courses both at its new £60 million campus on Knutton Lane, and in local community venues.
Janet Scrivens, Head of Lifelong Learning at the College, said: "Going back to college can seem daunting, but once people step inside the doors of our new campus they'll get a very warm welcome. What's more, the new building offers areas especially designed for adult students.
She added: "We can provide help and guidance for anyone who wants to improve their job prospects, renew or refresh their qualifications or retrain for a new career. There's never been a better time to enrol!"
Part-time courses are available in areas such as accounting and finance, engineering, IT and childcare.
Adults already in employment can also consider doing on-the-job NVQ training in subjects including business, retail, health and social care and many more.
The College also runs a highly popular ‘Access to Higher Education' course which provides a pathway for adults who want to study at degree level but don't have the formal qualifications needed.
Meanwhile adults who want to learn for leisure can choose from dozens of courses on offer at community venues across the borough.
